Chip has been a PC pony this weekend with Eleri Owen of Anglesey/Ynys Mon branch riding her at the area qualifier for the PC national dressage championship. Thrilled with Eleri and Chip, 8th from more than 40, sadly the team missed out on a placing by just half a mark. Chip's owner Linda is delighted, she is not back riding after a (non horse related!) broken wrist so very pleased Eleri and Chip are getting out and doing things!

This is the face of the worlds wimpiest New Forest! Spidey managed to cut his leg a fortnight ago, it was the sort of cut that would of made the Appaloosas go "ooo that nipped a bit" and the Criollos would have probably not noticed. The roughty toughty native pony you see before you was very nearly dead, he couldn't even stomach a polo, the world had ended. Luckily with lots of attention, love, hand grazing and you know being rugged in July so he wasn't all shaky he has fought back from his (in his opinion) career ending injury and we are back on the road. However I think he may have shrunk again.

Some fantastic photos of Chamfron By Dand and Rebecca storming round the 34km at Broughton last weekend and looking like they are having a ball. Photos with thanks to Kris Clay, I love it when a Chamfron is competing somewhere he is snapping, brilliantly scenic shots guaranteed!

Bellini had a dressage outing yesterday at a new venue, she is a very sensible four year old, catching up on her snooze with 40 minutes to go, then warming up on grass and coping with new judges boxes and arenas running side by side. Thank you Beth and Natalie for the photos.

A happy smiley Chip having a spin round a local ODE today, best dressage in her section, a lovely bold show jumping round and then a hesitation at the water (damn!) on the cross country before finishing well. I sometimes feel I need to remind these Chamfron ponies they used to live on the wettest farm in the west, getting their feet soggy should not be a surprise to them, maybe they are traumatised by their childhoods!!
