More Scans

Llamita is double checked and is definitely in foal with just the one.

Oor Eagle Eye Cherry is in foal due the 16th of May and Carter Bar and Juana are due on the 17th of May, all to our Criollo stallion Arrayan Numa.

After a very slow start to the breeding season we are starting to get there now!

Chamfron Toledo - 25 months old

Looking good after his bath - thanks to Cara for the photos.

Wildlife camera - June

Out in the woods the young badgers seem to be doing well while nearer home we have a rabbit living in the tractor shed and some (robin?) fledglings, no new sightings of the stoat or we'd have neither I suspect!

Not quite Hickstead...

Chamfron Angel Dust had a wee jump, she will head home and back to her western saddle tomorrow.  Her older brother Chamfron Cactus Jack went home this morning, taking Sheep with him, I shall miss my Sheepie cuddles!

We have just heard that their full three year old sister has now been sold to White Rose Polo Club so hopefully we will get some photos of her under saddle next.

Eskrigg Woodie

I didn't put these photos on yesterday as I was sulking about the photo of the Jay I didn't get!!

Slow Chukkas with Bloopers!

Sunshine for slow chukkas at Karina's Stewarton Polo Club today, one of the most picturesque pitches with the Forth rail and road bridges as a background and a new bridge in progress.  Sonya's Millie added a few moves that weren't totally necessary but it was Karina's Fab that caught Mark napping and neatly backed out from under him!

Scans

Lady Erica is scanned in foal to Arrayan Numa due the 11th of May 2016 and Llamita is scanned in foal to him due on the 12th of May 2016 though she will be rechecked in a week or so.  Both have absolutely cracking Arrayan foals at foot so two more the same would be lovely!

Breaking Update

Cactus took Sheep out for a stroll tonight (I am developing Sheep paranoia, is she getting plump?) and Sydney had his first wee hack out.  Kayreen had said Peaches could be sticky going up and down steps or from grass to concrete and back so she did some work in the garden and Conker has gone home!

Midsummer chukkas

We headed up to Edinburgh polo club for chukkas today.  Sonya had asked Mark to ride Millie as she'd got rather overwhelmed at her first trip out to polo and it had all got a bit exciting.  She went well today and it was great to catch up with everyone again.

Mares and Foals - June

Crow Fledglings.

Hmmm not sure I should be encouraging these guys in my chicken shed!

Breaking Update - Sydney and Cactus

Sydney is at the end of week one, having his first ride in the outside pen and heading quietly back to his stable.  What a clever A-rab!

Sarah had joked about Cactus that she'd like him smooth enough in canter to drink her glass of wine on.  Of course it was a real trouble for Mark to crack open a beer, he cantered both ways and declared Cactus grand.  Cactus said "mind, you'll have to share!"  Cheers.
