Chamfron By Dand - S.E.R.C Glamis

Rebecca took Owen to his second pleasure ride last Sunday, a 22km ride at Glamis.  Rebecca said they had a fantastic ride and the icing on the cake was getting the "Best Presented" award.  Photos thanks to Ian at Strathmore Photography.

Getting ready...

All the sheds were mucked out today and spread in the back field, Erica and Cherry supervised from the back of the barn and Sheila from the front.  Got the troughs emptied, a few rugs sorted out and some sweeping done, starting to think about the end of summer sadly!  Saw the first skein of geese flying over head...

Leaping Salmon

After the heavy rain yesterday we went down to Philiphaugh Estate to see if we could see any Salmon heading up stream.  All in all it looked a bit of a disaster when we got there and saw many a "no entry" sign, absolutely no access to the Cauld etc, hmmm I though, could of mentioned that on the website.  Still we wandered down to the river and to be fair got a decent view of the poor souls fighting against the odds, despite me encouraging them from the river bank "go on, you can do it, swim, swim" I don't think any made it over today, better luck tomorrow guys...

Wire Sculpture

A very wet day so Mark had an attempt at wrangling some chicken wire into a squirrel, an excellent first attempt I think?

The Pure Feed Company

We are pleased to now be Partners for The Pure Feed Company who produce a range of high fibre molasses free feeds for horses.  You can pop over to their website to fill out a free diet plan or to order feed and have delivered direct to your door (for us this will save on fuel costs and stopping for bacon rolls!)  When you do can you please mention Chamfron Stud sent you.

We decided to take a few photos showing some of the range, the first one was supposed to be a play on words with Mark being "Pure Stud" and me being "Pure Easy" (mutter mutter) but we were photobombed by Arrayan who muttered "Only one stud round here" before tucking in to the Pure Stud.  He agreed to model for the Pure Balance which is ideal for wee fat Criollos as it delivers all the vitamins and minerals without the calories.
